Phonetography - Sandy River

I haven’t made it to the river in June in ages! Mostly it’s too cold to swim, and if I go I WILL get in the water. My “Retreat to Move Forward” group meets twice a year to check in our our lives in a goal and accountability way, and we went to Sugar Pine and then walked down the Sandy River trail for about a half mile to a populated by not crowded spot. It was one of the record breaking hot days, so the short hike was a lot, especially in the direct sun. We got to the river, and I dropped my bag and got in the water immediately. What a joy! Swimming in the rivers is one of my favorite things about living here.

We were in for a repeat round when a family came walking down the No Dogs Allowed beach with their dog, and then let it take a shit by the rivers edge. We were out of there so fast! A annoying rushed end to a beautiful day.
